We’ve been beavering away in the garden since the summer ended and, as you can see from the before and after photos, we’ve really improved the overall appearance, maximised the fabulous space we have at the estate and let in more sunlight.

Yesterday, we had the trees removed from around the pool area, which now means more sunbathing hours for our visitors and no leaves or pine needles in the water this year. We do still, of course, have plenty of shaded areas and sun brollies for families with little ones and even more room for them to play.
We have also rebuilt our rickety shed with new wooden panels and roofing, which will store and season our logs for use throughout the year.

To keep the balance of new life for Mother Nature, we intend to plant new trees in three different locations on the property. We are going to utilise the wood to create benches and seats from the larger trees and cut the smaller ones up for the log burners in the gites and at our house. If you fancy escaping to France for a cosy, winter break, there are many wonderful fairs and traditional festivities in this region….be sure to book yourself in for a last minute break away, as we still have availability for December.
