It’s occurred to us recently how our new French country lifestyle has brought a gradual change to our consuming habits and the way we live. We now grow plenty of fresh herbs and vegetables. We buy as much fresh produce as we can, locally. Even our wine bottles are recycled and refilled at the local vineyard up the road. We use solar powered lights throughout the garden and we have an oil fuelled heating tank for our property.
Our current recycling project turning chopped wood into a useful or decorative household item has captured our imagination and we’re enjoying exploring various possible creations. We’re not quite claiming to be living “the good life” for batum, but we’re as close as we’ll ever be!
