Letters from French kids to Pere Noel don’t just disappear into dustbins or drawers because since 1962, France has had a law that stipulates any letter sent to Santa by a resident child MUST be responded to in the form of a postcard.
We’re not even kidding!
This law has no doubt helped boost the legend and authenticity of Santa Claus among French children and rightly so!
Although it’s doubtful the postmen themselves appreciate all the extra work but good on them! We approve and applaud their efforts to keep the magic of Christmas alive!
